Jonah was home from school with me one warm sunny Friday when Micah was in school and we decided to head out on a little adventure. We headed to our local park which has a network of trails, streams, and protected wetlands. We enjoyed the sandbox and swings first, but the suns rays heated us up- so we moved to the stream area to check that out. I realized that he does not get to explore the "wild" nearly as much as I did when I was a kid so when he asked me if he could play in the stream I thought it would be a fun experience for him.
Very soon after we cooled our feet in the shallow, clear water we came upon a little frog. We were able to capture him in Jonah's tiny bucket to examine. VERY EXCITING for a curious and fearless little guy!!

He had soooo much fun exploring this little stream habitat.... the water bugs, crawfish, frogs, and tiny little freshwater clams and snails.
