Micah Plays Soccer!!!

This past Thursday, Micah started soccer practice at the Eastman Recreational Field. She was super excited to be on the "blue team" with her neighborhood friend- Regan. Outfitted in a new "blue" shirt and some cool new Nike shoes that were complete with sparkles and a pink swoosh, Micah was convinced that the new gear was going to make her a "super fast runner" . Despite the rainy overvast day, we were blessed with a golden hour of time to squeeze in soccer practice without getting too wet. They practiced "
red light/ Green light, follow the leader, and shooting the net. It was a great time and Micah was admittedly tired after " all that hard soccer work". Practice is every Thursday for the next month or so, but we thought we would share these photos from the first day. She is really pretty good out there...not that I am biased or anything

Pearce completes the Presidential Traverse!!!

Here are some pics of Pearce hiking with friends after work to Mount Cardigan for a moonlinght hike which served as a great time out with new friends and a fantastic warm-up hike for the Presidential Traverse which is in the following pictures. This was done with Pearce's hiking buddies Jim and Tim as well as a few newcomers to the group... a 28 mile traverse (10 mountains) which included a small inadvertent detour, a scraping stumble up the summit of Washington and a new technique of creating organic Rock Cairns along multiple aspects of the trail. Micah's New Garden!!!

Here are some pics of our family as we help Micah plant her new garden in the backyard. Lots of dirt hauling, raking, shoveling, seeding, watering....and keeping the dog away. It has been a fun adventure and we are looking forward to the pumpkins, tomatoes, beans, peppers, Cucs, and Romaine!!! Enjoy the pics

Hiking with Chloe

While life has been busy for the 4 humans in the house, we havent neglected spending some time with our favorit pooch, Chloe, the Weimaraner....Pearce took Chloe hiking up the Appalachain Trail to sleep on Moose Mountain. It was their first campout together....they should have brought 2 sleeping bags!!
Chloe does not have a lot of hair and was very quick to find a warm place to rest during the evening. It was otherwise a fun experience and an enjoyable time spent with Jim and Tim who were hiking through on the same night. Here are some pics from the mini adventure....

The Graduation Party

Pearce's Dad visits!!!

Pearce's Dad- "Doc" made the trek from Florida braving the airport bustle to spend a portion of the weekend with all of us. Micah gave him dance lessons and taught him other new games she has created with her toys.....Jonah was all smiles. Here are few pics from the trip with others to be posted soon! Enjoy!!

Day Care

The fast approaching end of Heather's maternity leave brought forth the reality of a return to day care life for everyone.....Micah had intermittently been going during Heather's maternity leave in order to play with friends and allow Heather some "Jonah time" which was wonderful....We are so blessed to have have such a wonderful day care experience with John and Betty Merrihew who love the children so much.....It took a few days for everyone to make the adjustment but has been smooth sailing ever since. A few of you have written and asked where are all the pictures and updates. I apologize for being tardy in our updates... Like everyone else, we have been busy as well. So many adventures have taken place, the kids are growing in leaps and bounds and summer is in full swing. Heather and Pearce are both back at work after the Memorial Day Weekend Finish of Heather's maternity leave. We had one last Hoorah mini vacation down in Rhode Island. We enjoyed spending time with Aunt Helen, Uncle Tom, and the girls, Erin and Ali. Micah and Pearce both enjoyed a new toy called the Nintendo Wii and Jonah was the star new visitor. Micah also got some excellent ballet lessons!! Here are few pics from that trip.
